Abstract : The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of parental supports on career decisions and careerpreparation of out-of-school adolescents through self-esteem and self-efficacy in structural equation analysis. Asthe result of the study, first, Parent support directly affects out-of-school adolescents' career decision. Second,Parent support has a positive effect on out-of-school adolescents' career decision indirectly through helpingthem improve self-esteem and self-efficacy. Third, parent support directly affects out-of-school adolescents'career preparation. Fourth, however, parent support did not indirectly influence out-of-school adolescents' careerpreparation through self-esteem and self-efficacy. Based on the results, suggesting that a parent educationprogram that can improve parent support and a program that can build a positive relationship between parentsand adolescent should be provided at the out-of-school adolescent support center. Also, it suggested thatprograms for out-of school adolescents to develop self -esteem and self-efficacy should be provided at theout-of-school youth support center. Implications and limitations of the study were suggested, and then afollow-up study was proposed.
