This paper investigates the place of Postpositions in the System of Parts of Speech in Udihe language and the place of Postpositions in the Declension System of Udihe. We distinguish the following four independent Parts of Speech in Udihe: Substantive, Adjective, Verb and Adverb. This classification of lexemes is based on the principle of general grammatical (categorical) meaning of words. Categorical meaning of the Substantive class is a subject; of Verbs—process of acting; of Adjectives— static or dynamic attribute of the object; Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives or other adverbs, denoting feature of acting or of attribute. Postpositions are sort of grammatical words that represent the same meanings as cases. Postposition differentiates the general grammatical idea of case form or constitutes new meaning, completing case system. We consider that the category of Declension denotes grammatical relations between the Substantive and the Verb in a sentence. Postpositional phrase represents analytical form of declension, being grammatical unit of independent and link-word.
