The theory of creative city means that it strengthens a city's competitiveness by attracting creative class through making creative environment. Nowadays, as their growth strategies many urban governments accept the creative city setting the goal at design city and culture city. But creative class being th core of creative city theory is defined in many ways. The objective of thesis is to demonstrate and verify whether the term, creative class bearing multiple interpretation s has the appropriate meaning in Korea. The judgement would based on the theory of Florida’s creative class. The demonstration would be made by a standard of wage structure. The thesis shows that among creative professional classes, tech related jobs have big momentum to attractive more creative talents compared to others in Korea. On the other hand, culture and art sector which has long been generally accepted as creative industry does not have such power to draw creative one.
