The regional yield trials were conducted at five locations from 1998 to 2000. orami haslight purple tip, light green leaf, medium thick stem, green mixed with purple stem, cordate leaf, green petiole, reddish purple rootskin, and light purple flesh. The average yield of storage root over 50 gram was 24.5 ton/ha from optimum seasonal cultivation inthe regional yield trials, which was 36% higher than that of ami, a check cultivar. Number of root per plant was 3.1, and theaverage weight of root was 160 gram. Most of sweetpotato accessions of purple generaly flesh have bit taste in flesh for raw eat-ing as fresh food. But, "Borami" has comparatively sweet taste with much moisture content (80%) in flesh. This cultivar can beplanted in all sweetpotato production regions except cool alpine areas, because unadaptable growth in low temperature of 15~20oC.
