A new rose cultivar, ‘Orange Gem’ was selected from the progenies of a cross between ‘Nananga’ and ‘Sun City’by rose breeding team of the Gyeonggi-Do Agricultural Research and Extension Services in 2009. ‘Orange Gem’ was crossed in 2005 and seedlings were produced. After the test of specific characters from 2006 to 2009, it was finally selected and named. ‘Orange Gem’ has spray flower type with orange color (RHS Color Chart Orange Group N25B). The leaf glossiness was strong and it was resistant to powdery mildew. ‘Orange Gem’ grows vigorously, it takes 45 days to flowering and cut flower productivity was 165 stems/m2 in a year. The length of cut flower was long with 64.3 cm. It has 4.8 flower numbers per stem. Especially, the stem has not secondary shoot and it is a laborsaving cultivar. It has 4.5 cm in flower diameter, 23 in petal numbers per flower, and 8.0 days in vase life.
