The term “underdog effect” denotes a phenomenon of public opinion in a way that explicitly or implicitly supports an alternative that competes with a particular party to be the likely winner and expected to lose. With an aim to provide basic data to positively affect participants as well as viewers through direct underdog effect in sport games where underdogs can demonstrate their capacities, results are gathered as follows. First, E-sport such as League of Legend, the 2015 World Championship, Cheolgwon 7, Kiwoom Heroes, Professional Ssireum and winter sport games participated by Kim Yuna, Lee Sanghwa and ice hockey team. The association between this underdog effect and sports can be classified into sport consistency, sport uncertainty, challenging spirit surpassing other players and excitement from winning. This underdog effects from sport games enable players to be satisfied and excited through indirect experiences such as weak players suppress stronger opponents.
