Purpose: In this study, we want to find out the usefulness of the field by examining the reliability and agreement of the test-retest of MABC-2 checklist evaluators (teachers & parents) through the process of verifying the measurement items and assessment contents of the MABC-2 checklist, which is widely used worldwide as exercise development inspection tools.
Method: To achieve the objective, we looked at the questions and the content feasibility index to verify the content validity of the MABC-2 checklist.
Results: As a result, the comprehension of questions was more than four points, which most parents understood, and the content validity of the MABC-2 checklist was reasonable with a CVI of 0.8 or higher. In this study, the reliability of the test-retest and the agreement between appraisers were examined to confirm the usefulness of MABC-2 checklist by indicating a high level of reliability and agreement. Although the study showed proper reliability and validity for parents and teachers, it was insufficient to generalize the results.
Conclusion: In order to apply the findings, further studies will also require comparative studies on various subjects. Finally, the parenting perspective of Korean parents is focused on children’s cognition, sociality, and emotions, so parents can predict the development of sports and detect & prevent the deterioration of exercise development early on.
