This study reviewed major base spaces, vulnerable spaces, and response spaces related to infectious diseases in order to deal with the problems of local governments" residential environment management after COVID-19, and management measures were proposed in terms of urban management. Areas susceptible to infectious diseases in Suwon were selected as areas with high population density and high residential density for the vulnerable, and the locations of multi-use facilities and public facilities were investigated. We also reviewed the status of medical facilities and open spaces to respond to infectious diseases. As a means to manage vulnerable and sensitive spaces in basic local governments, it is necessary to secure spaces based on infectious diseases first. Second, regular inspections of public facilities and multipurpose facilities vulnerable to infection are required, and third, a space for infectious diseases is created in the living space. Fourth, it is necessary to establish a smart residential environment in order to apply quarantine technology to manage a densely populated space. Finally, it is necessary to supplement the urban master plan for urban density management. In order to prevent infectious diseases in the long term, it is necessary to change the existing perception of housing density and establish a comprehensive housing management plan in Suwon.
