Tensification of Chinese characters is a common phonological phenomenon in synchronic phonological changes. Compared with the tensification of the first and second type of Chinese characters with obvious regularity, the tensification of the third type of Chinese characters caused by specific Chinese characters is more complicated. According to the scope and characteristics of tensification, this paper divides specific Chinese characters into universal tensification, restricted tensification, unique tensification. Based on the pronunciation information of The Korean Learner"s Dictionary, the tensification rules of two-syllable and three-syllable Chinese words are sorted out. In particular, the meaning and function of specific Chinese characters are studied, which reveals the regularity or irregularity of tensification.
