This article states the context of Indonesia mission field as a concrete example of a missionary response to the Covid-19. The Covid-19 pandemic situation has brought crisis to Christian missisions in Indonesia where traditional face-to-face ministries are constrained, non-face-to-face ministry has been attempted and replaced the face to face ministries. Non-face-to-face ministries are useful in educational ministry, church ministry, meetings between missionaries and local co-workers. Non-face-to-face ministry has increasingly influenced on the local missions by which missionaries are actively working in the remained tasks of missions. On the other side, the non-face-to-face ministry is facing big challenges to overcome such as below: the Indonesian economic problem, unprepared hardware system, lack of human infra structure to dealing with this new situation, and transition from traditional way of communication to a new way of media communication to indigenous people. The resolution for this new situation is to integration of the existing face-to-face ministry and non-face-to-face ministry. When the old infrastructure of face-to-face ministry is combined with non-face-to-face ministry, the barriers found in non-face-to-face ministry can be overcome. Therefore, it is important for missionaries not to think negatively but to accept this new change positively and apply new technologies to the mission field, Admist the Covid-19 challenges, God’s mission will be continued.
