Neural activity is considered as an important evidence of neurological abnormalities; however, analysis at the level of animal models or patients is only currently possible. Patch clamp, which used to study electrophysiological functions, is difficult to measure a wide range of neural activity in cells and requires a lot of cost and expertise. Therefore, we devised an in vitro alternative model using mini brain and multi-electrode array (MEA). We produced induced pluripotent stem cells from human-derived fibroblasts and differentiated them into neurons. The produced neurons were cultured through 2D and 3D culture, and the signals were more active in 3D mini brain model.
