COVID-19 necessitated families to be confined together, and home became a school, nursery, entertainment center, and a workplace for parents. As mothers carry most of the burden of home life, this study explores the general experiences of five mothers through semi-structured interviews, informal conversations with children, and photo documentation for triangulation. The data were analyzed using a modified Colaizzi’s strategy with Creswell’s visualization method. The study discovered 95 formulated meanings, 14 theme clusters, and 5 emergent themes: overall perception of COVID-19, negative impact of COVID-19 on mothers, educational challenges of COVID-19, adjustment of expectation, and positive outcomes at home. Indeed, the mothers suffered much during such a crisis, yet the overwhelming responsibilities as mothers at home facilitated a paradigm shift for all of them.
