Light-powered micro/nanomotors are based on photocatalytic behavior, in which fuel is degraded to become a power source. Titanium dioxide (TiO<SUB>2</SUB>) is the most well-known photocatalytic material and frequently used in micromotors, but large bandgap energy (3.2 eV) of TiO<SUB>2</SUB> limits visible-light absorption.
