Introduction and Background
Reverse total shoulder arthroplasty(RSA) for Irreparable massive rotator cuff tear and cuff tear arthropathy(CTA) demonstrate satisfactory clinical outcomes. However, many studies report that no significant changes are observed in internal rotation(IR) and external rotation(ER). Posterior latissimus dorsi(LD) with (or without) teres major(TM) transfers have been advocated concurrently with RSA to address loss of ER. But, to our knowledge, there has been no studies on new attempts for restoration of IR after RSA. We performed retrospective cohort study including patients who underwent lateralized designed RSA for CTA patients who also had loss of IR between 2014 and 2018.
