Purpose
To investigate the outcomes after elective open abdominal aortic aneurysm(AAA) repair in octogenarians compared to non-octogenarians in a single tertiary center
Methods
The data recorded in the vascular surgery database of Samsung Medical Center (1996-2020) was analyzed through a retrospective study. Patients were divided into over 80 and under, and outcomes were analyzed as 30-days and 1-year mortality through univariate and multivariate analysis. In addition, factors associated with mortality were analyzed through multivariate analysis and propensity score matching.
Results
650 patients were included in the study. Octogenarians consisted of 58 patients (8.9%), mean age 82 years and non-octogenarians consisted of 592 patients (91.1%), mean age 69 years. 30-day mortality : 1 death occurred in octogenarians and 4 in non-octogenarians, and e ... 전체 초록 보기
