Natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites (NFRPC) are attractive to modern society for environmental concerns. To produce the composites, not only the natural fiber-based filaments but also the resin should be made from bio-based materials. Thus, in this presentation, two bio-based resins were synthesized and employed for fabricating NFRPC. Firstly, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) demethylated lignin (PDL) resin was obtained by crosslinking Demethylated Lignin (DL) with PVA in an alkaline condition.
