In this paper, we are going to present testing and characteristic analysis results of a high temperature superconducting (HTS) coil equipped with an iron-core. The HTS coils were simulated and analyzed by the finite-element method. The critical currents of the HTS coil were estimated considering the angular dependency on the magnetic flux density of the HTS tape.
