This study was conducted to get the useful information for cultivation and breeding of Allium wakegi Araki. Twenty-seven accessions of Allium wakegi Araki were collected and evaluated their main growth characteristics, and analyzed the contents of general components, inorganic components and pyruvic acid, and performed principal component analysis and cluster analysis. The results were obtained summarized as follows Allium wakegi Araki accessions showed various differences to growth characteristics, and the content of general components, inorganic components and pyruvic acid. In the growth characteristics, the coefficient of variation was in the order of plant fresh weight > number of tillers > pseudo stem width > pseudo stem length > plant length, and the largest plant fresh weight was Dang-Jin 1 and the smallest was Sangju accessions. The bolting percentage of Allium wakegi Araki accessions ranged from 1.1 to 33.3%, and five accessions were not bolting. Also lodging percentage of Allium wakegi Araki accessions ranged from 4.0 to 96.0%, and it showed large differences among accessions. In the characteristics of harvested bulbs of Allium wakegi Araki accessions, the bulb weight ranged from 5.5 to 11.9 g and the number of tillers ranged from 22 to 51, and the bulb color was classified into 10 accessions of white, 13 accessions of mixed white-purple, and 4 accessions of purple.
