As people pay more attention to brand culture, more and more natural elements are introduced into space design. The introduction of natural elements in commercial space to meet consumers’ higher demand for consumer space is an inevitable trend in future commercial space design.This study started with the purpose of a large shopping space that meets the needs of customers. The purpose of the study is to understand the natural elements of indoor commercial spaces, to concretize the way and role of natural elements introduced into large shopping centers. and to be able to use them in the subsequent planning process of large shopping centers. Firstly, a theoretical examination of the content of the natural elements in the commercial space of shopping centers was conducted. Secondly, the role of natural elements in the interior space and the way of their introduction into the expression are theoretically examined. Based on the theoretical examination, a field survey of natural elements in large shopping centers is conducted and analytical results are derived. The results of the analysis are as follows: light is the most frequently introduced natural element in large shopping centers, and the most compelling function is to expand the space. Plants are the most direct and effective natural element in resting spaces throughout the interior spaces of large shopping centers. The introduction of water can greatly enhance the concept of people and nature in large shopping centers.
