Since Covid 19 has emerged, organizations have implemented a working from home (WFH) policy for social distancing, and Zoom is one of the leading platforms used for video conferences. These phenomena indicate that employees are suffering from productivity and are losing professionalism as well as social interaction. Although Zoom has provided ways to communicate within a virtual community even when people are situated in their places, it lacks a sense of place as virtual backgrounds are in 2D images. A feasible suggestion is to provide a custom virtual background library suit for each firm’s identity to get more attached to the organization and alleviate the professional mindset. Then, this paper suggests creating a virtual 3D space in terms of improving a sense of place while doing a videoconference. Thus, this paper reviewed the literature on the theory of sense of virtual community and prior studies on virtual realism. People are connected within a virtual community, and 3D space-based videoconferences can be proposed for future research.
