The Oriental's initial "painting" was not produced for the purpose of pursuing beauty and cultivating sentiment, but was a record and summary of production and life in the primitive society. In this way, the seeds of Oriental painting art gradually took root and germinated in the records of production and life, the exploration and speculation of unknown nature, and the worship and pursuit of religious belief of the primitive people living in the Neolithic age. The primitive people's feelings for the creation of works of art and the meaning given to the works of art have also deeply influenced the Oriental people's aesthetic and creative ideas of the works of art. It is in such a consistent artistic creation environment that Chinese folk art New Year paintings emerge at the historic moment. New Year paintings are artistic paintings posted during the Spring Festival. They are one of the distinctive forms of artistic expression in Chinese folk art. By definition, any painting created by folk art lovers to depict folk life and production, and conducted by the professional workshop industry for batch painting and operation, can be called New Year paintings. According to historical research, the object of worship of ancient Chinese gradually changed from the worship of nature to the belief and worship of social personality god. The earliest are golden chicken, god tiger, and then to the later Guan yu, Zhaoyun, Qin shubao, and Zhongkui, Guanzhong, Tianshi and so on. There is a clear line of development, and the New Year pictures originated from the custom of sticking door gods. With the continuous progress of the society, the continuous improvement of productivity and scientific and technological level, the function of New Year pictures and the special culture they represent have gradually disappeared. The emotional needs and ideology of ancestors behind New Year pictures can hardly meet the requirements of people in today's society for humanistic art. Therefore, people give more possibilities to the creation of humanities and art, and the creation theme and content, expression techniques and carriers of New Year pictures are no longer limited to the traditional fixed mode. As a kind of cultural art that can be inherited up to now, New Year pictures have their own unique artistic language. Whether it is the New Year painting content, color matching or printing technology are full of strong bright Oriental colors. Therefore, art creators can draw lessons from the painting language of New Year paintings. From the content of different periods of Chinese folk history, customs, rivers and lakes, ideological and cultural. At present, people also provide rich value for the study of art history, folk history and Chinese history.
