Stabilization Operation is a military activity carried out in close cooperation with the government and the private sector in the liberalized region, and is an important element of military operations along with attack and defense operations. In this paper, four operational cases were analyzed, including the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Iraq War, and the Afghanistan War, to draw up lessons. Through this process, tasks for successful stabilization operations on the Korean Peninsula were drawn up in each phase of the operation. The tasks related to the implementation of military operations were to identify and utilize the factors affecting stabilization operations in North Korea, to develop for stabilization operations preparation plan, to prepare and implement decentralized operations, to control and eliminate weapons of mass destruction, to disarm the North Korean military, to control military facilities, and to strengthen measures to prepare for mass North Korean defectors. The tasks for obtaining support from residents were presented such as separating friendly and hostile forces, preparing for cyber warfare, preparing for civil psychological warfare, winning support from the international community and complying with international law.
