To examine the antioxidant and anti-obesity effect of pine (Pinus densiflora) needle steam distillation extract (PNE), we measured the content of total polyphenol (TPC), flavonoid (TFC), and the level of antioxidant activities. The contents of TPC and TFC in PNE were 3.61±0.00 mg GAE/g and 24.97±1.26 mg QE/100 g, respectively. Also, in 50% of PNE, DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activities were 60.29±1.40 and 63.31±5.39% and FRAP assay was 192.45±1.81 μM.
