With the development of ICT, IoT systems are being introduced in many industrial fields including smart factories. However, in the shipyard workshop, the introduction of the IoT system is still relatively inadequate. In this paper, we describe the experience of introducing IoT monitoring and control systems in ship launching workshops. First, it shows how IoT technology has been used for efficient and safe management of joint launching dock. This includes worker safety and manpower management, monitoring the use of resources in the workplace, and monitoring the status of the floating dock. Second, technical issues required for the implementation of the above issues will be described in detail. The implementation of efficient wireless communication, such as recognition of entry and exit of a worker using a Bluetooth beacon, and multiple communication between a plurality of Bluetooth or LoRa, and its operation algorithm are dealt with. As described above, through the introduction of IoT technology, it has been demonstrated that improvement in safe and efficient operation of the shipbuilding field is possible.
