Growth-stage-based fertigation has provided a weekly nutrient supply schedule in accordance with the crop growth and nutrient uptake for greenhouse crops including watermelon. However, it did not consider the soil nutrient status, and fixed the total amount of NPK fertilizer supply for each crop, although it considered the aimed yield and growth season. The objective of this study is to compare the growth, nitrogen uptake, and yield of watermelon and soil NO₃-N concentration by varying the amount of nitrogen (N) fertigation under either low NO₃-N soil or optimal NO₃-N soil.
