This thesis studies a dancer Choi, Seung-Hee as a concept of the expanded actress in the theatre anthropological perspective. Under the reality of colonization, imperialism, and division, Choi, Seung-Hee must be facing the theatre anthropological questions and answers for herself through her performances in diverse Western countries. Her experiences of interculturalism paid attention to the beautiful characteristics inherent in our dance, and also discovered the common principles of the Eastern & Western movements through training, which probably had great influences on the development of Choi, Seung-Hee’s dance research. Thus, through the «Choi, Seung-Hee’s Basic Dance» established for the purpose of training, this thesis aims to examine how the pre-expressivity has been realized, which was concentrated by the theatre anthropology. As the Laban Movement Analysis Method, this attempt referred to the analysis results of preceding researches comparing the movements of basic dance of North and South in accordance with the objective standard. Contrary to the preceding researches simply focusing on the analysis of movements, this thesis aims to study the significance of extra-daily energy shown in «Choi, Seung-Hee’s Basic Dance» in the theatre anthropological perspective. In the future, there should more integrated researches that could expand Choi, Seung-Hee and her dance to the performance-artistic perspective.
