Fish aquaculture industry has attracted a lot of attention worldwide as a measure to solve the increase in demand for fishery products. However, while the distribution structure of aquatic fishery products has been changed from producer-driven market to consumer-driven market, the problems such as the increase in logistics cost, the drop in producer acquisition price, and the decrease in bargaining power are urgently required to prepare the measures to solve such problems. Firstly, it is needed to promote the work efficiency through ICT utilization to create the added-value, to maintain organizational system as well as to improve the management structure and to promote the appropriate scale of distribution system. Secondly, it is essential to enhance the consumer confidence regarding aquatic fishery products through the establishment of safety inspection system in the wholesale market. Thirdly, it is necessary to improve the distribution environment by establishing the FPC(Fisheries Products Processing & Marketing Center) base in connection with ICT. Lastly, in order to establish an efficient aquatic fishery products distribution system, the positive policy supports from the central and local governments are critical. Such measures is expected to be able to contribute to the enhancement of competitiveness of fish aquaculture industry through minimizing the distribution processes and induce to establish an optimal aquacultural distribution system, which would lead to the increase of fishermen' income, the improvement of consumer welfare and the creation of new demand.
