수질부 결손을 동반한 광범위한 수부 결손의 치료에 있어 수질부는 피부의 질감과 색, 그리고 감각을 고려하여 족지 수질부 유리 피판술이나 무지구 유리 피판술 등의 무모성 피부 피판으로 별도로 재건할 수 있다. 하지만 미세 문합에 필요한 수혜부 동맥의 손상으로 제한이 있는 경우도 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 저자들은 엄지 수질부와 수장부의 연부조직 결손의 재건에 전외측 대퇴부 유리 피판의 천공지가 분지 되는 하행 외측 대퇴 회선 동맥의 원위부에 제1 족지 수질부 유리 피판의 혈관경을 연결한 조작된 flow-through 방식의 키메라 유리 피판술을 시행하여 좋은 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하고자 한다.
