The responsibility to support the elderly in current Korea, China, and Japan is difficult to explain only by the traditional family-centered culture of those East Asia countries. In modern society, the interest in support responsibility is highly increasing from public sector and non-public sector to a larger concept social support. In addition, detailed later life preparation was being prepared by middle-aged class from health and physical preparations and economic preparations to social and physical preparations. Research study was a total of 849 participants including 300 Korean participants, 297 Chinese participants, and 312 Japanese participants. As the first conclusion of support responsibility and later life preparation in East Asia is that looking at the social and cultural difference of the countries, Japan concentrated on the reality in front of them more than Korea and China. Second, Japan’s prior research shows that they emphasize on public support responsibility. Lastly, as an advice, first, for support responsibility and later life preparation in East Asia needs a diverse social relationship (social network) approach. Second, there needs an educational approach to support responsibility and later life preparation.
