This study analyzed and studied on the imaginary of children in 30 fairy tales about North Korean defectors. Even after a successful escape, the defecting children is suffering as a double weak.. 1st as a defector, a minority of Korean society, and 2nd as a child, relative weaker. All literature reflects reality. The discrimination and alienation of defector children in fairy tales is the projection of the discrimination and alienation that the defector children experience in reality. When defecting children are neglected in the society of their peers, the alienation calls for greater loneliness and increases the closeness of the defecting children. A society with many members who are discriminated against and are alienated is not healthy. Since defecting children are alienated from members of the Korean society, which is a relative majority, the discrimination and alienation suffering North Korean defecting children are not overcome by their own strength. So, it is important to know exactly what the problems suffering North Korean defecting children and how deal with and solve all that problems. This is why fairy tales show the process of overcoming conflicts through the communication process of North Korea defector children and South Korea children. In other words, defector North Korean 한국문화기술 통권 제23호-60- fairytales try to solve the problems of North Korean children in their own ways. The method proposed by North Korean fairy tale to North Korean defecting children is communication and integration. The same efforts are being demanded by the children in Korean society. The communication and integration in the North Korean fairy tale is not different from the attempt of the South and the North Korea to find a common point in reality. North Korean defectors and Korean have been separated from each other by different cultural styles, and North Korean defectors have provided an opportunity to gather together. So the North Korean defectors are the shapes of preunification. And the imaginary of the North Korean defecting children is a compass that tells abour the correct direction of integration beyond conflict.
