There seems actually to be a case that "healing" has been replacing "well-being" much talked about not so long ago. In such a changing societal landscape, it is interesting for us to look at the way shamans cure 'patients'suffering from "spiritual diseases" in performance of "Nerimgut". For these purposes will come to our aid such theoretical perspectives as Semiotics,Chaos Theory, Cultural Anthropology, Critical Discourse Analysis etc.
First we try to show how the ritual in question is to be defined as a non-linear complex system, and the shaman a "stranger attractor". A schema will then be proposed which is designed to represent its multi-level organization. It also helps us give a semiotic description of Nerimgut in terms of "textual form", underlying structure of meaning. Bearing in mind in parallel that it's not sufficient to describe the structural aspect of the ritual, we discuss its "pragmatic" dimension to see what can be done with the form of sign systems in the context of ritual cure.
This paper also deals with a 'emotive' question of how the affects the novice embodies concerning the experience of spiritual power are esthetically reconstructed from a "altercentric viewpoint. That leads us to a series of arguments revolving around a type of ritual text called "Zazenmansebagi"in absence of which the therapical effects otherwise would be impossible to be induced. Finally we address a 'epistemological' problem that regards the complex relationship between discourse, power/knowledge, normalization of subject in the fashion of Foucault.
