Nowadays theaters has had an important role in cultural spaces in Korea since the performance arts such as musical, opera and concert have been popularized and many theaters have been built recently. The expansion of performance arts can cause more accidents in theaters which may lead to many casualties and serious property damages. This study has done the research into the failure prediction program to prevent the accidents on stage facilities in theaters. The program development took three steps. As the first step, the data on stage facilities in normal state such as current, vibration and etc were measured. In the second step, on the basis of the analysis of the gathered data, the failure prediction algorithm appropriate to each failure was selected. Lastly, the program which embodied the chosen algorithm was developed. It was verified by the input data on stage facilities in abnormal state. This study shows that the program can predict various failures as to current, vibration, temperature and load on stage facilities.
