Medical industries have met dynamic changes. These changes have forced the organizations to consider wide improvement of their activities and to adopt the use of new spectrum in all the industries’ operations. Recently, medical cluster brings together the related manufacturers, suppliers, healthcare service providers and research & development firms along the medical technology value-added chain. It is a technological innovation system organized around universities and other public research institutions which have unique research & development themes and potentialities. More specifically, it is a system which successively drives technological innovation, and creates new industries through mutual stimulation between technological seeds in research institution and practical needs in the real business world. Networks and joint research entities are also expected to be established in this process. To enable the objectives efficiently, they have to work together with the alliance to strengthen the position at home and abroad. From this motivation, this paper studies on the medical cluster trends and assess the international competitiveness for enhancing cluster systems.
