The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the internet addiction tendency of college students and the related variables, such as life stress variable, self-control variable, communication times with parents variable, and internet usage variable. The sample size of this study are 453 college students in Jeju, the collected data has been analysed by frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis(method=stepwise) etc using the SPSS/win 12.0 program. The results of this study are as following; The two stress(future, value) variables, self-control variable, weekly communication times with parents variable, and internet usage variable have correlation with the internet addiction tendency. Internet usage time among internet usage variable is the largest effective variable on internet addiction tendency, and self-control variable is the second. Based on the results of this study, the author suggested operation of internet addiction preventive program and tasks for added further study.
