The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of self-growth program on college student's self-esteem and self conception. 26 college students in K city were classified into an experiment group and a control group, and this program was conducted 7 sessions at once a week from March to April in 2007. The results of the study are as follows; The hypothesis 1「Experimental group participated in self-growth program will show more significantly improved self-esteem than the control group.」was accepted. And the hypothesis 2「Experimental group participated in self-growth program will show more significantly improved self-concept than the control group.」was accepted. Also, I was content analysis about the opinions of the participants. The result was that 'it was chance to practice the human relationships', 'it was good time to meet other people with the true heart', 'it was time to understand themselves', and 'it helps to learn how to express their thought' As a result, this program was very effective on college students. So we need to conduct self-growth program at college to help students elevate their sense of autonomy and responsibility.
