This treatise would like to show the map of cognition of nature in 1930's poems with a focus on poems of Lee, Sang, Seo, Jeong-Ju and Baek, Seok who had the cognition of unique nature. This paper focuses on "sense" to study some types of cognition of nature. The differences of modern ∙ conventional ∙ ecological cognition of nature are caused by the differences of sense primarily. The followings are some differences. Lee, Sang focused on artificial sense with centered on sense of the sight. Seo, Jeong-Ju focused on basic sense with centered on sense of the touch , Baek, Seok showed to balanced five senses. These differences of the sense prescribed their differences of cognition of nature, moreover, decided the differences of cognition about the modernity. Lee, Sang's poem, which regarded the sense of the sight as important, is representative example to show his modern cognition of nature. As a modern subject, the sense of the sight was the sense for its reason. Lee, Sang recognized the nature as the other to be separated from himself, as an object of many observations and analysis. Because of that, his poem seems to be difficult as an involved experiment report. Seo, Jeong-Ju, who had conventional cognition of nature, wrote his poem depending on sense of touch in his basic sense. The nature is an object of concrete experience to feel with his fingers as him. The nature is not damaged by civilization, means original and sacred world as him. Baek, Seok's poem described rural life in detail, the sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste and was used in harmony. Bae, Seok with harmonious sense was opposite to Lee, Sang with dissociation of sense. For this reason, Baek, Seok, has unspoilt body and spirits of nature, is ecological human and his poem can be exemplary case of ecological cognition of nature.
