The purpose of this study is to consider the formation of Kunsan in Korean modern poetry. Kunsan is represented the pain place with Korean modern history, which is signified the political or vague place and gloomy mood in immediately and indirectly. The cultural feature of Kunsan represents the Korean modern history. The Korean modern history began at ruling under the Japanese empire force, 36 years before the military conditions of American forces, 54 years and the Korea war, a tragedy of nation broke out. The cultural hybrid of a cultural colony in developing country is described in the cultural feature of Kunsan, and which is appeared in urban development focused the transportation of rice and the land of the United states forces Korea. The poems of Kunsan is divided the poetry of later release and a period of release, the poems after release in the focus of release. The special politics situation was that is ; a period before release, the ruling under the Japanese Empire Forces and a period of release, the establishing of the independence country and a period after release, under the military conditions of American forces. The poetry about Kunsan before release shows the specific mode as the variety of modern quality in colony, and the poetry in a period of release is expressed the mean of the release and returning home as the road motive. The poetry after release is represented the hybrid of chronotope, and the cultural colonialism.
