This paper attempts to investigate grammatical error data of advanced Korean learning English speakers extracted from their composition assignments in order to understand better learners' Korean acquisition development. Errors are sub-categorized upon their error types, and their distribution is presented in terms of error frequency. Most advanced learners tend to commit dropping errors in their uses of particles. The study anticipates that the interference of learners' native language system is the cause of errors along with Koreans' frequent particle dropping habits in the casual speech. Uses of verb endings are found to be still challenging to acquire for advanced learners, especially conjunctive endings and function- onverting endings. The paper predicts that insufficient target language grammar knowledge is the main cause of errors. The results of error analysis in the uses of particles and verb endings are valuable in terms that they provide learners' interlanguage to facilitate their target language learning.
