This study applied color chakras and gemstone chakras using seven different energy wavelengths to the new gel nail art technique, ‘ink gel nail art’. Each chakra has its own position, feature, influence, and color, distributing energy all over the
body following the gi (energy) flow path. The seven different doors of the chakra are associated with the colors of the rainbow. The color of the chakra ensures emotional stability through color therapy. Depending on the energy wavelength of the rainbow chakra, a base is created, using the thickness and contrasts of the ink gel through watercolor and marbling techniques. In addition, the dynamics of line art were emphasized using a hair pencil. Furthermore, an object was made with the gemstone for each chakra, expressing glamour and splendor with the active formative aspects of the color expressions.
This study attempted to overcome the limitations of conventional nail art techniques by selecting colors, patterns, and gemstones for each image while suggesting and expressing a new nail art technique as well as proposing unique and creative convergence nail art patterns.
