Various nanomaterials including nanoscale and/or nanostructured materials, have been attracted special attention because of their unique physical and chemical properties. Also, potential applications for these nanomaterials have been expanded through the efforts of several researchers. Nevertheless, there are still many obstacles that should be overcome. One of the important direction for engineering various nanomaterials is to functionalize the surface of nanomaterials for obtaining improve performance and stability. Depending on the application of nanomaterials, surface of nanomaterials needs to be properly and carefully tuned. Of various methods, atomic layer deposition (ALD) has its inherent merits in this approach.
