This paper aims to explore the design research of improving the user experience of integrated apps in intangible cultural heritage by integrating functional game theory. Through literature research, it is found that there are problems in the APP of China’s intangible cultural heritage information integration. Through comparative research, the development advantages of functional games are summarized, and the conclusion of the necessity of integrating APPs of intangible cultural heritage information integration with functional games is obtained. Then questionnaire survey verified the feasibility of the integration, mined real needs of users for the integration, and came up with the corresponding design methods. Research outcomes proved that the integration makes up for shortcomings of the ICHII APP, effectively improves user experience, and fits the development model expected by users.
