In this study, in response to the mandatory ZEB certification system, the effect of facility and architectural differences in apartment houses on achieving energy self-sufficiency was analyzed. Firstly, depending on the household density, it was classified into high density, low density and standard. Then, the heating system was divided into Individual Heating, Central Heating and District Heating. In terms of household density, low-density complexes with a small number of households per building and a large number of equal numbers were found to be relatively advantageous. Nevertheless, that fuel cells of 30-50 kWh or higher were required to secure a 5th grade or higher self-sufficiency rate. In order to cope with the mandatory zero-energy building certification system in all heating methods, it was necessary to install a new and renewable energy system, especially in individual heating complexes, it was analyzed that PV installation area of 1,500 m² or at least twice the rooftop surface should be secured. In most situations, ZEB Grade 5 could be achieved by utilizing additional fuel cells, including PV, but the methods of going to the next grade were all different. This study This study suggests that since apartment complex have various characteristics, several approaches must be considered to achieve ZEB certification.
