The blockbuster-type exhibition held in Korea has spread rapidly and has established itself as a form of culture and art. It has become a trend in culture and arts by providing various directing techniques and attractions. Unlike general exhibitions, blockbuster-type exhibitions are differentiated and popular with the public because of their meticulous planning, directing techniques, and commerciality. Therefore, the trend of blockbuster-type exhibitions, the influence of directing techniques on the public, and domestic blockbuster-type exhibitions were analyzed. The characteristics of general exhibitions and blockbuster exhibitions and cases of distinctive blockbuster-type exhibitions from 2018 to 2021 were analyzed, and exhibition directing techniques were studied accordingly. In planning blockbuster exhibitions in the future, this study raised the need for exhibition directing techniques of various works, themes, and wide materials as well as exhibition techniques of similar directing techniques. It is predicted that many exhibitions will be planned to convey the richness of life in line with the needs and level of improved visitors in the future exhibition culture.
