Creativity is one of the most important ability for problem solving in knowledge-networked globalized society. What kinds of environmental characteristics influence creativity? Despite of importance of creativity, there are a small empirical research have conducted to test the effects of physical environmental characteristics on creativity. The physical environmental characteristics of learning environments can offer sensory stimuli and provide space for interactive sharing ideas, thus lead to better environment to nurture creativity. In addition, according to restorative theory, natural environment refer to stimuli to provoke creativity. This article deal with previous research findings regarding what kinds of environmental characteristics influence creativity and identify variables that influence creativity in learning environment. Previous research findings suggest that it is beneficial to provide access even in visually to natural element or experience to provoke creative process.
