This paper proposes the development of a technology that responds through a take-over demand in case an autonomous vehicle with level 3 autonomous driving technology encounters various dangerous situations that may occur while driving on the road. For this experiment, the vehicle was modified to have self-driving technology at level 3 of the SAE reference. The level 3 autonomous driving stage is a conditional autonomous driving system that take-over to the driver in case of an emergency. Since take-over in such an emergency is necessary, the conditions for take-over should be clearly defined and performed. This is the case of detecting a failure of an autonomous driving sensor or system, driver manipulation, and other situations in which autonomous driving is impossible. These standards are important because they enable safe autonomous driving. Various take-over request scenarios allow drivers to be alerted by two methods of visual and auditory alerts when takeover requests. A safe take-over platform was developed by continuing the warning until the driver recognized the take-over.
