In this study, in the process of defending an opponent’s attack in an ice-hockey game, the D-zone(Defensive Zone), a defense area that switches from defense to attack, and the counter-attack transition in the N-zone(Neutral Zone) are studied. In the D-zone, Shoulder Check, First Pass, and Wings should be skated quickly to the hash mark to make an efficient transition. If the opposing defenseman pinches in, the weak-side wing must use Push the Pace to skate between the opposing defensemen. In the N-zone Transition, players must accurately understand and play the rim zone, attack or puck control zone in the N-zone Transition. In the rim zone, the hard rim is performed in the attack area to attack by possessing the puck first, and in the Attack or Puck Control Zone Transition, D is the first to pass from the center, the center, or if the opponent’s pressure is strong and the pass cannot be passed, it is more effective to descend behind the net in the D-zone and execute a Control Breakout. Depending on the location of the puck in each areas, all players can make a more effective transition if they know in advance what kind of play they will play and play by predicting i t. In addition, as an efficient N-zone transition method, players playing on the board suggested Get off the Wall, which plays away from the board, and Change the Attack Side, which can efficiently transition by using strong pressure from opponents concentrated on one side. Ice hockey coaches must teach the principles that players must perform accurately for each position so that positive results can emerge for Transition.
