Today, Korea is in a crucial position because of the North Korean nuclear issue, THAAD conflicts, North Korean forces and provincial provocations. I analyzed the ‘Sun Tzu - The Art of War’ about the national security field and four conclusions were drawn as follows. First, in terms of ‘The diplomatic and military cooperation', Sun Tzu emphasizes t hat the enemy should weaken the enemy's national strength and make my national strength relatively stronger. Therefore, since North Korea has diplomatic relations wi th more than 160 countries all over the world, it is necessary to continue efforts to spread Korea's supporting countries along with North Korean isolation diplomacy. Second, in terms of ‘deterrence', Sun Tzu emphasized that it is important to suppr ess enemy aggression in advance in order to gain a complete victory, and it is nece ssary to accurately and consistently express our determination to retaliate if North Korea provokes, Based on the suppression of expansion through the North Korean p rovince itself should be able to suppress the provocation of the ability to quickly. Third, in the aspect of 'hostile nation study,' Sun Tzu emphasized that we shoul d not neglect efforts to collect information by collecting all the information gatherin g factors including human information, focusing on ROK-U.S. Joint Information As sets, In addition to securing information gathering capacity, it should expand the ex change and sharing of information related to North Korea with various countries. Fourth, in the aspect of 'response to local provocation', my repetitive provocatio n that Sun Tzu has spoken of must be maintained in view of the fact that we ca n do so by the provocation of North Korea as if the internal divisions of the enem y cause the enemy to become wet or insensitive . To this end, it is necessary to apply appropriate rests and contrasts according to the changes in the situation, an d show the activeness to publicity of the people continuously so that the division of the state does not occur.
