Because of the globalization of the manufacturing environment, advanced defense industry parts are often manufactured in factories in other countries or regions. The dimensional-tolerance method cannot contain important information about the assembly and inspection of parts, and the designer cannot directly explain details beyond the dimensional tolerance to each department, causing various problems, such as poor assembly, performance, and safety. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the completeness of drawings by applying a geometric-tolerance method that regulates the shape, posture, position, and run-out tolerance of the parts in detail. In terms of position and profile precision, which are directly related to the assembly and performance of parts, the effect of improving the completeness of drawings was verified through a comparative experiment between the dimensional-tolerance method and the geometric-tolerance method.
