This paper discusses about the research of ‘Qu’ and ‘Zou’ in Mandarin Chinese. According to the semantic features, ‘Qu’ has its own inherent features of [+Move], [+Directional] [-Speaker orientation] and [+a point of arrival]. On the other hand ‘Zou’ has its own inherent features of [+Move], [+ Directional] and [-a point of start]. And we found the differences between them due to their directional feature. A feature of Direction are the ＜path＞ element when we expressing the ‘motion event’. At this time ‘Qu’ can be Deixis into Subjective motion such as [+Toward the speaker] or [-Toward the speaker]. But ‘Zou’ can be Conformation because its only focuses on starting point. For that reason, there is a significant disparity between of ‘Qu’ and ‘Zou’ because motion event of ＜path＞, and they have a different path schematic. Moreover they have the different meanings expansion by differences in the underlying semantic features.
