This study focused on drawing the implications on Korean agricultural economy by analysing business model, management strategy and profitability of the Greenery, the agricultural cooperative type of firm in the Netherlands. The results of factor analysis related to business activities are as follows. The factors on profit-generation were ⅰ) globalization of business structure, ⅱ) all year round stable supply system, ⅲ) various profit sources, ⅳ) efficient total assets turnover rate. Meanwhile, the factors on cost-reduction were efficient logistics system under supply chain and saving of transaction costs due to scaled economy in cooperative members. These results have important implications on operating consumer-oriented distribution cooperative and improving of inefficient distribution structure in the agricultural sector in Korea. Details are as follows; ⅰ) the operation of specialized distribution firm by agricultural cooperative in consuming site, ⅱ) the improvement of cooperative members' control system for large scaled shipment in producing site, ⅲ) the construction of logistics network for transaction costs-reduction, ⅳ) the efficient dissemination system of market information in order to prevent distortion of market function, ⅴ) the building of quality control system for value added.
